So, Accelerator Frankfurt GmbH launched its Wave9 dedicated to Female Founders. I would like to introduce them:
Noora Laitio, founder and CEO of FinlandWay® Schools. The Finnish education system is known for being the best in the world, so why hasn’t anyone brought this system to other parts of the world? This is exactly what Noora has set out to do in a scalable way.
Ann-Katrin Maier is a passionate surfer that knows the importance of surrounding herself with passionate people to achieve greatness. Ann-Katrin is building a much-needed platform to connect surfers of all levels to credible surfing homes.
Helen Wiehr, founder of Gegenwind. Helen is a triathlon competitor building the first company dedicated to producing 3D-printed cycling shoes. Not only will these be customized to a perfect fit, but also sustainable.
Jovana Walter, an ex-banker building the first programable quantum simulator in Germany for industrial use. Seems crazy but it is true. Quantum technology is super fascinating and evolving very quickly.
Maria del Pilar Panizo & Ina Voegele met at their executive MBA in our city of Frankfurt and hit it off. They are designing a seamless app for handling the mobility needs of corporates and their employees.

By Maria Pennanen:
I had the pleasure to be interviewed by Franz Cong Bui from Boersen-Zeitung regarding female founders. Accelerator Frankfurt GmbH has launched its 9th wave this week to support women entrepreneurs. It’s from the conviction that entrepreneurship can change the world that we have built this program since its founding by Ram Shoham and myself in 2016. The purpose of the female founder’s program was to keep the barriers minimal and therefore the program is free. We give coaching and open our network of mentors and investors. We are grateful to sponsors who help us to cover some costs. People say we are crazy that we still keep doing it, but a true entrepreneur understands why. We would love more companies to be part of it and sponsor the program so we can make it available for more women.
“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do”
-Steve Jobs
